Was ist ein U-Profil?<\/h2>\n

Ein U-Profil ist ein einfaches Metallprofil in U-Form, das in der Glasverarbeitung vor allem zur Befestigung und Stabilisierung von feststehenden Glaselementen eingesetzt wird. Es dient als Rahmung f\u00fcr Glasfl\u00e4chen und sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass diese sicher fixiert und zugleich optisch ansprechend eingefasst sind.<\/p>\n

Eigenschaften<\/h3>\n

U-Profile sind in verschiedenen Gr\u00f6\u00dfen und Materialien erh\u00e4ltlich, g\u00e4ngig sind Edelstahl- oder Aluminiumprofile. Standardma\u00dfe f\u00fcr Glasdicken von 8 und 10 mm liegen bei 20x20x20x2 mm oder 30x20x30x2 mm, wobei die Wandst\u00e4rke in der Regel 2 mm betr\u00e4gt. W\u00e4hrend viele Profile eckig ausgef\u00fchrt sind, k\u00f6nnen Edelstahlvarianten im unteren Querschnitt leicht rundlich gestaltet sein.<\/p>\n

Montage von U-Profilen<\/h3>\n

Bei der Montage werden kleine Unterlagekl\u00f6tze ins Profil eingelegt, um das Glas auszurichten. Danach wird das Glaselement verklotzt und mit klarem Silikon fixiert und abgedichtet. Auf diese Weise entsteht eine sichere und dauerhafte Befestigung.<\/p>\n
